Advanced Planning Advisor
I provide fee-based advisory services to individuals, families, and business owners, with a focus on comprehensive financial planning, retirement income planning, estate and wealth transfer strategies, and personal and business insurance planning. My approach is centered on helping clients make informed financial decisions with clarity, confidence, and a long-term perspective.
I hold Series 6, 7, 63, and 65 registrations, along with Life, Health, and Long-Term Care insurance registrations. I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional (CFP®) and hold several advanced professional designations, including Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®), Accredited Estate Planner® (AEP®), Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®), Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®), Retirement Income Certified Professional® (RICP®), Chartered Adviser for Senior Living® (CASL®), and Certified in Long-Term Care (CLTC). These credentials reflect my commitment to continued education and a comprehensive approach to financial planning.
I am a lifetime member of the Million Dollar Round Table (2006–present) and an active member of the Society of Financial Service Professionals and the Financial Planning Association.
I grew up in High Point, North Carolina, and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I am actively involved in the Raleigh community and previously served as President of the Rotary Club of the Capital City (2020–2021). I am a Paul Harris Fellow and a member of the Ram’s Club and the General Alumni Association at UNC–Chapel Hill. I am also a member of Bay Leaf Baptist Church, where I serve on the Finance and Stewardship Committee.
I live in Raleigh with my wife, Bethany, our daughters Everleigh and Piper, and our son Remington.
Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) is an independent membership organization of life insurance and financial service professionals. Membership levels are based on commissions, premiums, or fees generated within a year from investment and insurance products. Members must apply annually and pay a fee. Members must be members in good standing of a Professional Association which has met the following criteria: in existence at least 2 years, have 100 or more members, must be a nonprofit organization, must have a code of ethics and an effective means of dealing with breaches of its code. Members must also adhere to the MDRT Code of Ethics.
